For many vulnerable people and those in need of care, the maze of laws and regulations in healthcare is far too complicated. This leads to stress and uncertainty. How nice would it be if you could get accessible housing and services in your familiar neighbourhood, tailored to your situation? Without the uncertainties of how it is arranged and if it is actually arranged in the end? From that vision, Care2Share was born; a subscription to good quality of life. The vision has been worked out in concrete terms for the Oosterpark neighbourhood in Groningen.
A personal living consultant supports the person in need of care and arranges the Living Subscription. Adjustments and improvements in the homes and neighbourhood are implemented from the subscription. Such as making housing suitable for care, realising public facilities (e.g. Craftsman House) and an accessible public space. Income from the Living Subscription is invested into a public Fund. This will allow the necessary investments to be financed and also ensures a viable business case in the long term. The living consultant organisation (WIJ 2.0) ensures proper distribution of subscription fee among care providers, municipality and housing associations.
